Currently engaged as an independent planning consultant, having established my own business in 2023, to provide planning advice on complex and/or strategic infrastructure, commercial and residential projects. I was previously employed as Director of Planning Operations in An Bord Pleanála, managing over 120 staff and providing professional and technical advice to the Board, its staff and to third parties on behalf of the Board. Over the last twenty years I have sat on numerous Boards, including Chairing one such Board; and have also served as an executive officer reporting to Boards. 

I am skilled in Change Management, Governance, Leadership, Project Management, Urban Planning, Strategic Planning, and Innovation in respect of processes relating to the delivery of Infrastructure, Housing (incl. SHD and LRD), Energy Supply, and Sustainability projects. Excellent communication and motivational skills and ability to build strong relationships with staff and multiple stakeholders (across multiple government departments, state/prescribed bodies, planning authorities and private sector).
